Southern Maine Volkssport Year Round Events

Sanction and IVV Credit: These events have been sanctioned by the AVA and IVV and each count toward acquisition of IVV achievement awards. All events are conducted under the rules of these governing organizations and by registering; the participant agrees to abide by these rules. Starting 2006, any event that is sanctioned for four months or longer over the mid-year (June 30^th) is eligible to earn IVV Event Credit twice, once for the first half of the year and once for the second half of the year. All SMVA Year-round and Seasonal events are eligible to earn up to 2 IVV event Credits and unlimited IVV Distance Credits.

Fees: Each event counts toward IVV credit. IVV record books are not available for purchase at the Start/Finish. Please be sure to bring your books. A supply of insert pages will be available at each walk. IVV credit only is $3.00. There will be no refunds if a participant does not finish the route. These events are free to persons who wish to participate without receiving award or IVV credit.

F.Y.I: Unlike other Volkssport events, limited to one or two days with set start/finish times, these eleven events may be done daily.
